Who is Alex Carter?
Alex Carter is a British-born singer-songwriter and guitarist finding his footing in Vancouver’s music scene. Recently, he has also stepped into the indie film industry, making his acting debut in the award-winning short movie Black Thumb. His sound draws from gritty blues and classic rock, grounded in real experiences and everyday life.
Alex spent his early years performing across the UK, learning the hard lessons of small stages and long nights. In 2024, he moved to Canada with a guitar and a suitcase, looking for new stories, new sounds, and a chance to connect with people through music.
Influenced by Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones, Buddy Guy, and The Black Crowes, his songs balance energy and emotion, sometimes raw and biting, sometimes quiet and reflective. At the heart of it is honesty: riffs and lyrics that come from a real place.
On stage, Alex is approachable and present. Whether it’s a small club or a festival stage, he aims to make every show feel like an electric conversation, a shared moment rather than a performance.
Currently, he’s writing and recording new material while performing across British Columbia, focused on making music that resonates beyond borders.

Armed with talent, resilience, and a desire to grow, Alex immersed himself in the Canadian music scene, working at Tom Lee Music by day and writing songs deep into the night.
